Construction and renovation in Portimão
The Portimão municipality combines the built-up seafront at Praia da Rocha, the older fabric of Alvor, and the rural area around Mexilhoeira Grande, where VRconstroi has a completed project. These are three genuinely different building situations, from high-rise blocks to detached villas on open plots. Licensing is handled by Câmara Municipal de Portimão.
Portimão is one of the municipalities where we have finished work to show: in Mexilhoeira Grande we built a single-storey house from the ground up, with an arched porch over the pool. Inland, towards the Arade river and the hills, there are open plots for new villas; in Alvor and at Praia da Rocha the requests are mostly renovations of apartments and holiday homes. The kind of job in Portimão depends a great deal on which of these three landscapes it sits in.
