Construction in Lagos and the western Algarve
Lagos has a walled historic centre of older buildings and narrow streets that constrain machine access and site logistics, alongside surrounding areas — Meia Praia, Luz, Odiáxere — where new construction is possible. VRconstroi has a completed villa in the municipality. Licensing is handled by Câmara Municipal de Lagos.
Lagos is at the western end of the area we work in. Here we carried out the full interior renovation of a villa, with a new kitchen and a glazed wine store above the dining room, and that is the most common request: existing houses that need their interiors brought up to date. Between Luz, Odiáxere and Bensafrim, plots with sea or country views also draw new construction, always within the limits of the Lagos municipal plan.

What we do here
Mainly it complicates logistics. The narrow streets of the Lagos historic centre limit crane and lorry access, so deliveries, offloading and material storage have to be planned before work starts rather than improvised.
